Steve is a member of our Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring Group. He focuses his practice on Real Estate Development and Finance and Corporate Governance.

Experience

  • Steve has almost 30 years of experience in various types of transactional work, with significant experience in real estate acquisitions, development and financings, corporate structuring, securities and taxation.
  • His practice is national in scope. Steve has regularly represented NYSE-listed real estate investment trusts and other companies in connection with acquisitions, dispositions and financings.  He has extensive leasing expertise, having represented publicly-traded companies on a national basis from a tenant’s perspective as well as representing several major property owners and developers.
  • Steve is often engaged to represent clients in transactions involving acquisitions for purchasers and sellers, mergers, commercial lending, banking, registered and exempt offerings, securities law compliance, real estate, commercial leasing and related environmental issues.
  • He has been extensively involved in representing companies, both public and private, in major real estate investments and developments including international joint ventures, developments utilizing both historical tax credits and new market tax credits.
  • Steve regularly provides representation to banks and financial institutions, institutes of higher learning, real estate investment trusts, manufacturers and distributors, private foundations, public utilities, telecommunications companies and other businesses.
  • He has also represented a major City in Mississippi in connection with the creation of a redevelopment commission and structuring several potential public private joint ventures.
