Overview
Butler Snow's Summer Associate Program is a six-week program occurring in the first half of summer (mid-May through the end of June). The primary means in which we hire new law graduates is through our summer program.
Our Summer Associates work on real matters with real clients, receiving the same type of assignments that our first-year associates work on. We encourage our Summer Associates to explore as many practice areas as possible by taking a variety of assignments and working with attorneys across different practice groups. This process helps our Summer Associates learn which practice is (and is not) a good fit.
Mentor Program & Learning Opportunities
We expose our Summer Associates to hands-on opportunities that our associates handle such as attending client meetings, depositions, trials, and closings. Additionally, we support our Summer Associates the same way we support our associates - through internal training programs, our mentor program, and by providing access to all platforms that our attorneys use.
We pair each Summer Associate with two attorneys who will offer advice and guidance throughout the summer. Your mentors will help ensure that you meet as many attorneys throughout the firm as possible and help you receive exposure to a variety of assignments that align with your interests this summer.
Social Events
Each week throughout the summer, we host social events to give our Summer Associates an opportunity to get to know our attorneys better. These will be a variety of receptions, activities, dinner parties in attorneys’ homes or other events throughout the summer.
Butler Snow participates in OCI at many of the schools in our footprint. Interested applicants can also submit their resumes and transcripts through our website by clicking the link below.
