Geoffrey A. Morris Selected for Shelby County Mayor’s Young Professionals Council

Butler Snow attorney Geoffrey A. Morris has been selected for the Shelby County Mayor’s Young Professionals Council (MYPC). The council is composed of young professionals who want to connect to other young professionals, key leaders and government officials within Shelby County. Morris is a member of Butler Snow’s Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring Group and handles a variety of real estate development and finance, public finance, and corporate transactions.

Morris is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyer’s Division. He’s also a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Tennessee Bar Association and American Bar Association, as well as the Young Lawyers Division of the ABA. Morris completed both the NEXUS and Embark professional development programs in Memphis. In the community, Morris serves as an Ambassador with Facing History in Ourselves and on the Board of Directors for Bridges USA. In 2021, Morris was named as one of the Memphis Flyer’s 20 < 30.

He completed his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University where he double-majored in English and Communication Studies and double-minored in History and Corporate Strategy. He earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School with a Certificate in Law and Business.
