D. Todd Smith to Present at TexasBarCLE Advanced Civil Appellate Practice Course

Butler Snow attorney D. Todd Smith is set to present “Ethical Interactions with Clients” on Thursday, Dec. 2 at the TexasBarCLE’s Advanced Civil Appellate Practice Course. The course will be held at the Austin Marriott Downtown. More information and registration details can be found here.

A member of Butler Snow’s Appellate group, Smith represents clients as lead appellate counsel and works with trial teams in all phases of civil litigation. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been recognized by Super Lawyers® since 2013.

Smith is the co-founder and co-host of the Texas Appellate Law Podcast, which shares insights and best practices through engaging conversations with top trial and appellate practitioners, judges and other court staff. He is the immediate past chair of the Austin Bar Foundation and is a past president of the Austin Bar Association. Smith is a Life Fellow of both the Austin Bar and Texas Bar Foundations, a trustee of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society and a member of the State Bar’s Board of Directors.

Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, a master’s degree in public administration from Texas Tech University and a Juris Doctorate with honors from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
