Two Butler Snow Attorneys Named Top 50 Under 40 Finalists by Mississippi Business Journal

Butler Snow attorneys Jahviah D. (J.D.) Cooley and John H. Dollarhide have been named finalists of the Mississippi Business Journal’s 2021 Top 50 Under 40 award. The award recognizes 50 up-and-coming business leaders under the age of 40 in Mississippi. The full list of winners can be viewed here.

Cooley is a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services group and focuses his practice on corporate, real estate and construction matters. Prior to joining Butler Snow, he clerked for the Honorable James E. Graves, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Cooley has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® as One to Watch for Litigation – Construction, Mergers & Acquisitions and Real Estate Law. He is a member of the American, Capital Area and Magnolia Bar Associations, as well as Jackson Young Lawyers. Cooley earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University and his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.

Dollarhide practices with the firm’s Commercial Litigation group and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, business torts, unfair competition, financial services litigation and professional liability. As a member of Butler Snow’s E-Discovery Task Force, Dollarhide obtained certification as a Certified E-Discovery Specialist by the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS).

Dollarhide has been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers® and Best Lawyers in America® as One to Watch for Commercial Litigation and Financial Services Regulation Law. He is past president of the Jackson Young Lawyers Association, serves as an Advisory Board Member to the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project, and is a member of the Young Lawyers Steering Committee for the Defense Research Institute (DRI). Dollarhide earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.
