OverviewAndrew is a member of Butler Snow’s Products, Catastrophic and Industrial Litigation group. Andrew focuses his practice on defending clients against tort claims throughout all stages of litigation. Andrew also regularly represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Andrew participated in a two-year clerkship at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, where he gained expertise in § 1983 litigation and employment law. In addition to federal experience, Andrew was selected for the Georgia Attorney General’s Office Honors Fellowship, a two-year program offering significant litigation opportunities to top law students and judicial law clerks. As an Assistant Attorney General, Andrew represented state agencies and officials in a variety of civil cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, and Superior Courts throughout the state. - Successfully defended the Governor’s suspension of an elected sheriff accused by the DOJ of violating the civil rights of pretrial detainees. See Hill v. Kemp, 366 Ga. App. 19 (2022).
- Obtained decision affirming the dismissal of First Amendment challenges to the Governor’s public safety executive orders. See Cardinale v. State of Georgia, 363 Ga. App. 837 (2022).
- Intervened into products liability appeal before the Eleventh Circuit over both parties’ objections.
- Granted summary judgment in property dispute over highway runoff water management.
- Successfully defended Georgia Lottery’s denial of gaming licenses in consolidated appeals in the Superior Court, Court of Appeals following oral argument, and Supreme Court (denying certiorari).
