Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Daniel W. Brock Lewis has joined the firm’s Products, Catastrophic and Industrial Litigation Group in Dallas, Texas.

Brock Lewis joins Butler Snow with experience representing a range of clients in commercial litigation across Texas and New Mexico State Courts, including professional liability cases involving medical negligence and malpractice, premises liability, catastrophic personal injuries, and wrongful death. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for a civil litigation firm in Texas supporting a lean litigation team responsible for devising and implementing litigation strategies, developing assigned case files at all stages of litigation up to voir dire. He participated in successful mediations resulting in settlements below the initial demand and was also responsible for drafting pleadings and defending fact and expert witness depositions.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. During his time in law school, Brock served as Technical Editor of the Baylor Law Review and President of the Baylor Environmental and Natural Resources Society.

During law school, Brock served as one of two law clerks for Harris County’s Environmental Law Department and clerked for three divisions (IDEA, Natural Resources and Utility) of the State Office of Administrative Hearings. Before these two roles, Brock also worked as a lobbyist and community organizer for the Texas Campaign for the Environment where he helped establish over 900 new members, raising more than $35,000 for the organization in 2018.

He is admitted in Texas and New Mexico.
