Butler Snow attorney Precious D. Thompson was nominated for The Jeanette A. Michael Alumnus of the Year Award, an honor presented by The George Washington University Law School Black Law Student Association (BLSA). The award recognizes an alum who has made outstanding contributions to the law school community and the Black community at large.
The nomination was announced in connection with the 46th Annual Patricia Roberts Harris Awards Banquet, hosted by GW Law School’s BLSA on March 28, 2026. The annual banquet celebrates alumni and community leaders whose service, leadership, and professional achievements reflect the organization’s mission and values. Thompson’s nomination reflects her continued commitment to service, leadership, and meaningful engagement with both the legal profession and the broader community.
Precious D. Thompson
Precious Thompson is a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services and Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring groups. Her practice focuses on commercial finance, real estate development and finance, economic development, and tax credit transactions. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Capital Area Bar Association and the Magnolia Bar Association.
Thompson earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and her bachelor’s degree in English, summa cum laude, from Tougaloo College.
