Butler Snow Adds Two Attorneys to Shreveport and Denver Offices

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Danielle Farr Ewing and Laurel A. Witt to the firm’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets group. Farr Ewing joins the firm’s Shreveport, Louisiana, office, while Witt will be based in the firm’s Denver, Colorado, office.

Danielle Farr Ewing

Farr Ewing is a member of Butler Snow’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets group and focuses her practice on public finance, economic development, housing finance, public-private partnerships and governmental finance matters.

Prior to joining Butler Snow, Farr Ewing served as Clerk of Council for the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, where she previously worked as an Assistant City Attorney. She also previously represented the State of Louisiana, Office of Juvenile Justice, on civil service matters.

Farr Ewing is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Missouri and is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Shreveport Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, and The Harry V. Booth – Judge Henry A. Politz American Inn of Court. She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Missouri State University.

Laurel A. Witt

Witt is a member of Butler Snow’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets group and focuses her practice on public finance and governmental finance matters. Her experience includes representing governmental entities and other transaction participants in public finance transactions and economic development matters, including financings involving general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, certificates of participation, lease transactions, tax increment financings and private activity bonds.

Prior to joining Butler Snow, Witt worked with the City Attorney’s Offices of Boulder, Denver and Fort Collins, as well as the Colorado Municipal League. She has also taught local government law at the University of Colorado Law School.

Witt is admitted to practice in Colorado and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, International Municipal Lawyers Association, Colorado Municipal League, Metro City Attorney’s Association and the Colorado Bar Association. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada.
