Barton T. Lee and Caroline D. Walker Honored as NextGen: Law by Birmingham Business Journal

Butler Snow attorneys Barton T. Lee and Caroline D. Walker have been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal in the 2022 edition of the annual NextGen: Law list. The recognition honors emerging leaders. Honorees were chosen based on their contributions to their firms and their potential to shape the industry and the Magic City’s legal world moving forward.

A member of the firm’s Business Services practice group, Lee focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and organization and capital formation. He frequently advises clients with respect to M&A transactions, equity offerings, convertible debt and other securities, and also counsels public and private companies, private equity firms, investors, start-up companies, and entrepreneurs in general business matters. As a member of the firm’s Medical Marijuana Task Force, Lee is at the forefront of medical cannabis regulation in Alabama.

Walker is a member of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare Group, as well as the Products, Catastrophic and Industrial Litigation Group. She has extensive experience defending pharmaceutical, medical device, and other product manufacturers in mass tort and individual cases pending in various state and federal venues throughout the country. Walker regularly contributes to the firm’s Product Lines Blog and Pro Te: Solutio, an award-winning quarterly publication of Butler Snow’s pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare industry attorneys. She is also a member of Butler Snow’s Recruiting Committee. Caroline has previously been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as a Rising Star of Law and Best of the Bar.
