Overview

Angie focuses her practice on real estate law, business and commercial transactions, financial services and commercial lending from the firm's Finance and Real Estate Group. 

Experience

  • Part of team representing a Fortune 100 retailer in negotiation of documents for construction of a 2.6 million square-foot import distribution center at Port of Mobile, Alabama.
  • Represented a utility-scale solar and energy storage company in its entrance into the solar power market in the State of Alabama by negotiating site control agreements and associated easements.
  • Served as local counsel to the lenders in a $95+ million financing for the development of a 100 Megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) energy-generating facility in the State of Alabama.
  • Counsel to a lender specializing in the financing of multifamily housing complexes throughout the United States, with a focus on loans guaranteed by the USDA, Rural Development, through its Guaranteed Rural Rental Housing Loan Program.
  • Serve as general outside counsel in Alabama for a publicly traded real estate developer that has developed residential communities in over 20 states.  
  • Coordinated conveyance of real estate assets, including broadcast tower sites, as part of a media client's acquisition of 19 radio stations across a multi-state footprint.
  • Represented purchaser of acute care hospitals in the acquisition of an interest in over fifty separate parcels of real estate, including physician clinics and home health facilities.
  • Counsel to nursing home owner and operator in the site acquisition, development and financing of new 117-bed skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center.
  • Represent multi-national quarry owner in all aspects of property acquisition, including development of haul roads and nuisance avoidance measures.
  • Represent owner of Red Mountain Park in assemblage of over 1,100 acres to be used for development of one of the largest urban parks in the country.
  • Counsel to conservation organization in the management and expenditure of over $30 million set aside in environmental consent decree.
  • Represent a land trust in the establishment of conservation easements to protect watershed properties and other open spaces, as well as landowners seeking tax benefits through the creation of conservation easements.
