Overview

Andrew Schrack focuses his practice on commercial litigation and construction disputes. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and in Arkansas. Andrew represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, commercial evictions, and complex commercial disputes. He also counsels construction owners, contractors, and subcontractors in payment disputes, mechanics’ liens, construction defects, bond claims, construction arbitrations, construction mediations, contractor licensing issues, and construction contract drafting. Andrew is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and has experience mediating cases involving contract disputes and real property disputes.

Experience

  • Conducted internal investigation on behalf of nonprofit organization following defamatory allegations on social media.
  • Defended national company as part of arbitration team against a $9 million claim for alleged breaches of an exclusivity agreement.
  • Represented general contractor in enforcing a mechanics’ lien of over $100,000 for work completed at an apartment complex.
  • Conducted rapid response on-site investigation of trucking accident in rural West Tennessee.
  • Represented real estate investment company in recovering defrauded funds and obtained eleven temporary restraining orders regarding the funds and the real estate against four defendants in Shelby County Chancery Court.
  • Obtained a writ of possession for personal property valued at over $500,000 in a contested possessory trial in Shelby County Circuit Court.
  • Successfully nominated a property to the Arkansas Register of Historic Places based on the criteria of local historical significance and local architectural significance.
