Elizabeth S. Ostendorf has joined Butler Snow LLP’s Business Services practice in the Montgomery office.
During Ostendorf’s 15-plus years of legal practice, she has gained a reputation as a highly skilled business and transactional lawyer. Her experience spans tax law, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory counsel, corporate governance, risk mitigation and other administrative legal issues. Ostendorf has particularly deep experience working with financial institutions, and most recently served as the Director of the legal department at First Citizens Bank in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Ostendorf holds a bachelor’s degree as well as a master’s degree in tax accounting from the University of Alabama. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Tulane University School of Law and Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, Alabama Bar Association and Wake Women Attorneys. Ostendorf received Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite 2015 Corporate Counsel award and is on the UNC Banking Institute Board of Advisors.
