Butler Snow attorneys Michael I. Less and Andrew B. Schrack presented a webinar titled “Legislative Updates in Tennessee Construction Law” presented by Half Moon Seminars on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020. In the webinar, Less and Schrack discussed Tennessee’s Construction Industry Payment Protection Act, changes to the Prompt Pay Act, the new “stop work” procedure if not getting paid and demand for reasonable assurance of payment. Less is Chair of the Butler Snow Task Force for the Construction Industry and focuses his practice on all aspects of construction law, including drafting and negotiating contracts, and dispute resolution. He is a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers and former Board Member, a member of the ABA Forum on Construction, a former Vice President of the Fidelity and Surety Law Committee, and a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel.
Schrack is a member of Butler Snow’s commercial litigation practice group. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.
