Butler Snow recently represented SmartFinancial, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMBK), the parent company of SmartBank, in a transformative merger of equals transaction with Entegra Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: ENFC), the parent company of Entegra Bank. The merger, an all-stock transaction expected to be completed later this year, will create an approximately $4 billion-asset bank holding company operating 47 branch offices across Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
