Butler Snow is pleased to announce Ashley N. Wicks has been named one of Mississippi Business Journal’s 50 Leading Business Women of Mississippi.

Mississippi Business Journal launched the 50 Leading Business Women of Mississippi in 1997. The purpose of the program is to recognize professional women who have made a significant contribution to society and the workplace. Selections are made from a list of women who are nominated based on their professional accomplishments, personal accomplishments and their level of influence.
Wicks focuses her practice on public finance and a host of tax issues including public finance tax, state and local taxation and tax credits. She is a frequent speaker at legal conferences, seminars, and CLEs on these topics across the nation. Wicks has also been honored by the Mississippi Business Journal as a Top 10 in its Top 50 Under 40 class, by the National Bar Association as a Nation’s Best Advocate: Top 40 Under 40 and by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Rising Star in business tax.
Wicks is licensed to practice in Mississippi, Texas, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Districts Courts of Mississippi: northern and southern. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Bond Lawyers and the National Bar Association and is a fellow of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity. Wicks received her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Jackson State University, her Juris Doctor from Tulane University and her Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Alabama.
The elite group will be honored at an awards luncheon on Aug. 17 at Hinds Community College’s Eagle Ridge Conference Center in Raymond, Miss.
