Luther T. Munford to Speak at Media Law Resource Center’s Media Law Conference

Butler Snow is pleased to announce that Luther T. Munford will speak at the 2018 Media Law Conference hosted by the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC), a non-profit organization for content providers and defense lawyers in all media that provides a wide range of resources on media and content law and policy issues.

The conference takes place Sept. 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Va. Luther – an expert on media law – will co-chair an afternoon presentation on Sept. 27 titled “Hot Issues in Ethics for Media Lawyers: From Hero to Zero” that will focus on the ethical issues in news reporting.

Luther is a member of the firm’s appellate and written advocacy group and concentrates his practice on appellate matters, media law, constitutional law, professional liability, and product liability defense. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for appellate practice since the inception of that publication. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer for appellate and as a Top 50: Mississippi Super Lawyer, by Chambers USA for litigation: appellate – Mississippi and is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Luther is a member of the American and Mississippi Bar Associations, the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, the Mississippi Code of Judicial Conduct Study Committee and is a former member of the MLRC’s board of directors. He received his undergraduate degrees from Princeton University and Oxford University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
