Butler Snow is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s attorneys, David M. Cohen and Stanford G. Ladner, have been recognized as 2017 New York Metro Super Lawyers®. Cohen has been honored in the personal injury – products: defense practice area and Ladner has been honored in the government finance practice area.

For 20 consecutive years, Cohen has furnished clients with scientific and medical defense resources, formulated science defense strategies, and cross-examined more than 100 treating physicians and expert witnesses at depositions and evidentiary hearings in complex litigation and mass tort product liability litigation. He has served as national science counsel to some of the largest pharmaceutical and consumer products manufacturers in the world. Cohen is a graduate of Union College and Fordham University School of Law.
Ladner concentrates his practice on public finance, banking law, business and commercial transactions, tax credits, energy law and regulatory compliance counsel and advice. He frequently represents major investment banking firms and lenders in connection with mass transit, public works, and housing project financings. Additionally, he has represented a large, global insurance company in the creation, sale and purchase of highly structured financial products, including derivatives and special purpose vehicles. Ladner is a fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel, and a graduate of The Catholic University of America and The Catholic University of American Columbus School of Law.
