We are proud to announce that Ashley N. Wicks has been named to the Leadership Mississippi class of 2017.
Leadership Mississippi is an annual program of the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) conducted by the M.B. Swayze Foundation. Participants, selected by a committee of MEC’s Leadership Mississippi Alumni, work together in a training program that combines individual study, group sessions and project experience in using leadership skills.
Each year, Leadership Mississippi travels across the state, visiting locations in every region of Mississippi to learn about the culture, history and economic impact.
Leadership Mississippi is the second oldest statewide leadership program in the nation. Since its inception in 1974, Leadership Mississippi has graduated more than 1,000 alumni active in Mississippi business and politics.
Ashley focuses her practice on public finance and a host of tax issues from public finance tax, state and local taxation and tax credits. She is a frequent speaker for various legal conferences, seminars and CLEs. Ashley has been named in the top 10 of Mississippi Business Journal’s 2016 Top 50 Under 40 and a Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Star in tax. Ashley is a member of the American Bar Association, Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Bond Lawyers and National Bar Association.
Ashley received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Jackson State University. Ashley received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University and her master’s of law in taxation from the University of Alabama.
