Butler Snow attorneys Sessions Ault Hootsell, III and Kimberly E. Smith were both recently selected for the 2015 edition of Louisiana Super Lawyers. Hootsell was named to Super Lawyers for business litigation and class action/mass torts, while Smith was named a Rising Star in securities and corporate finance, tax, and real estate.

Hootsell focuses his practice on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, as well as commercial litigation. He has been named in Louisiana Super Lawyers since 2007, and has also been named in The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA, and is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Hootsell is board certified in business bankruptcy law and as a business and bankruptcy law specialist. He earned both his undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University.
Smith focuses her practice on public finance and tax credits. She has experience with the development and financing of complex real estate projects utilizing historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits, energy tax credits, and other financing programs. She earned her undergraduate degree at Birmingham-Southern College, before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi and LL.M. in taxation from New York University.
