Butler Snow Attorney Selected as Chair of Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce

Butler Snow Attorney Angie Godwin McEwen was recently elected chair of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce. She has previously served the Vestavia Hills Chamber as Chair of the Ambassador Program and Vice Chair of Community Affairs.

The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1981 and now has over 1,100 members.  The community, which is conveniently located outside of the Birmingham Metro Area, has a population of approximately 35,000.

McEwen focuses her practice on real estate law, business and commercial transactions, financial services and commercial lending from the firm’s Finance and Real Estate Group.  She completed her undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College and her Doctor of Jurisprudence at Vanderbilt University, where she was the Executive Professional Authorities Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.

In addition to her involvement with the Chamber, McEwen also serves on the Governance/Advisory Committee for Leadership Vestavia Hills, and served as a past President of Hands on Birmingham. She is a LEED Green Associate Accredited Professional, and is a member of Birmingham CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), the International Council of Shopping Centers, the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
