OverviewJordyne is a member of Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation group. Jordyne has extensive experience counseling clients through complex litigation matters, with a focus on construction disputes. Jordyne regularly appears on behalf of clients in court and in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Jordyne counsels owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in disputes involving breach of contract, wrongful termination, nonpayment, delayed completion, defective work, design defect, and lien and bond claims, as well as licensing issues. Jordyne develops litigation strategies and advises clients from claim preparation through trial. In addition, Jordyne drafts and negotiates various construction contracts and provides pre-litigation advice to clients while projects are under construction to avoid disputes.
Jordyne is a Nashville native and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and English from Georgetown University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. Experience
- Represented a hotel owner in a five-week bench trial involving contract and delay claims, totaling $50 million.
- Represented a general contractor in litigation involving construction defect and delay claims, totaling $12 million.
- Represented a general contractor in litigation involving contract and tort claims, totaling $6 million.
- Obtained a successful ruling on behalf of a contractor in a ten-day AAA arbitration proceeding involving contract and delay claims, totaling $5 million.
- Obtained a successful ruling in an AAA arbitration proceeding on behalf of homeowners against a contractor.
