Butler Snow attorney Gadson William (Will) Perry has been selected to the 2020 Executive Program Class of Leadership Memphis. The 81-person class is comprised of experienced leaders across multiple community spectrums, including businesses, nonprofits, government, education, faith, neighborhoods and professionals.

Since 1979, Leadership Memphis has been developing community change agents, connecting them with others who have a passion for serving and empowering them with information and opportunities to make a difference. Participants of the Executive Program are immersed in an intensive experience aimed to build on existing personal and professional leadership skills over nine months, all to develop relationships and networks that drive and accelerate positive change.

At Butler Snow, Perry specializes in complex commercial disputes. A member of the firm’s commercial litigation and appellate and written advocacy practice groups, he handles high-stakes and sensitive matters that involve state and federal constitutional guarantees, unfair competition, contracts, data privacy and real and intellectual property rights. Perry’s experience includes arbitration and bench and jury trials, as well as class-action, multi-party and multi-state litigation. He has represented corporate and governmental clients in twelve different states and the territory of Puerto Rico, and he has briefed and argued cases before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He also is a former judicial law clerk for Judge Bernice Bouie Donald of the Sixth Circuit.

Perry has been named a Mid-South Rising Star in business litigation by Super Lawyers® every year since 2015 and won the Memphis Business Journal’s 2018 “Best of the Bar” Award in the “Ace Associate” category. He is a 2017 Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and a 2019 graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law Program.
