Three Butler Snow Attorneys Recognized in Business Alabama’s 2025 Legal Elite

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorneys Brad S. Anderson, Jesse H. Blount and Caitlyn S. Burchfield have been named to Business Alabama’s 2025 Legal Elite list. Members of the list are nominated by their peers for their expertise in specific legal areas.

Brad S. Anderson

As a member of Butler Snow’s Finance, Real Estate and Restructuring group, Anderson focuses his practice on commercial real estate, corporate law, intellectual property law and wills and estates. Since 2024, he has been recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® in real estate law. He is a member of the Alabama, American and Birmingham Bar Associations.

Anderson earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Jesse H. Blount

Blount is a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services group and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, business structuring and contracts and economic development. He has been recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® as ‘One to Watch’ for both corporate law and mergers and acquisitions law. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Young Lawyers and Business Law Sections of the Alabama Bar Association.

Blount earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama, cum laude, and is Juris Doctor from Tulane University’s School of Law.

Caitlyn S. Burchfield

Burchfield is a member of Butler Snow’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives & Credit Markets group. She provides counsel in connection with various types of tax-exempt and taxable debt, including direct bank placements, public market offerings, tax anticipation warrants, USDA financings, and refundings of prior issuances. Burchfield’s representative projects span the U.S., with a particular focus on the Southeast. She regularly serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and lender’s counsel.

Burchfield was recently recognized in 2025 by Chambers USA for her public finance work in Alabama. The previous year, The Legal 500 also highlighted her in the editorial for nationwide Finance: Project Finance. She has been recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® as ‘One to Watch’ for both public finance and real estate law. She was also named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s NextGen: Law list in 2021. She has maintained a presence in the local community through the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, having served as Executive Vice President, among other roles.

Burchfield earned her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama and her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of law.
