K. Neal Ricks, Jr. Joins Butler Snow’s Government Relations Team

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that K. Neal Ricks, Jr. has joined the firm’s  Regulatory and Government Relations practice group as a Government Relations Advisor.  Ricks will practice in the firm’s Ridgeland office.

“We’re pleased to welcome Neal to our Government Relations team in Ridgeland,” said Christopher R. Maddux, chair of Butler Snow. “His experience and background in the political arena will be a true asset to the firm and our clients.”

Prior to joining Butler Snow, Ricks served as Political Director during the re-election campaign of the 65th Governor of the State of Mississippi, Governor Tate Reeves. He oversaw the entire grassroots campaign operation and field staff.  Ricks previously served as Legislative Liaison in the official Office of Governor Tate Reeves, where he helped influence policy on behalf of the Governor in the Mississippi House of Representatives and State Senate.

As a Vicksburg, Mississippi native, Ricks deeply understands state politics and has honed his skillset accordingly. He has worked on multiple state and federal campaigns and served as the Political and Fundraising Director for the Mississippi Republican Party under the leadership of Chairman Frank Bordeaux. He is well-versed in the legislative process, policymaking, and relationship-building.

Ricks earned his bachelor of science from the University of Mississippi.
