Joseph K. Sims Joins Butler Snow in Ridgeland

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that Joseph K. Sims has joined the firm’s Regulatory & Government Relations practice group as a Senior Government Relations Advisor. Sims will practice in the firm’s Ridgeland office.

Sims specializes in government relations, providing a strong and experienced advocate on behalf of clients with the Mississippi Legislature, regulatory agencies and in the political arena. Throughout his career, Sims has been involved in energy projects that have facilitated significant economic and energy development. He served as President of the Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association (later the U.S. Oil & Gas Association) for more than 25 years. He previously served as legislative chairman of Mississippians for Economic Progress (MFEP), a coalition of business, industry and medical interests advocating for civil justice reform. Sims’ career also includes time as a Principal with a nationally recognized government affairs firm and in his own private practice. He received his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University.
