Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that Garrett Jemison has joined the firm’s Regulatory and Government Relations practice group as a Senior Government Relations advisor. Jemison will be based in the Montgomery, Alabama, office while continuing to serve the Washington D.C. area.

Jemison previously served as the founder of a boutique firm specializing in governmental affairs, public relations and strategic planning. He has represented an array of clients including Fortune 500 companies, energy providers, higher education institutions, municipalities, defense contractors, data centers and economic development coalitions in front of the United States Congress.
Prior to founding his own firm, Jemison served as State Director for U.S. Senator Richard Shelby in Alabama. In this role, he managed the state offices and led hundreds of events in all 67 counties, and worked directly with many companies throughout the state to build strong relationships. Jemison later served as the first Chief Operating Officer for Manufacture Alabama, where he worked to enhance economic growth by promoting the state’s manufacturing community.
Jemison is an Alabama native and received his bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in public relations from the University of Alabama.
