Three different perspectives on foreign grantor trust planning.
The talk:
This presentation will provide a brief overview on trust planning for wealthy families with U.S. Person heirs, followed by a friendly debate amongst practitioners from three firms addressing a few of the more complicated issues faced when dealing with foreign grantor trust planning. We’ll touch on U.S. estate tax exposures, complications from holding U.S. assets and complexities arising from life insurance holdings. The participants will also share their views on whether joint settlors can be accommodated. Please plan on joining us for what we hope will be a lively and informative session.
