October 14, 2025 | by Butler Snow

Butler Snow attorney Katelyn R. Ashton will serve as a panelist at the Product Liability Advisory Council’s (PLAC) Fall Conference on October 15, 2025, taking place in Park City, Utah. She will participate in the “Future Leaders Panel,” where she will discuss her experience preparing for and participating in a recent mock trial exercise. Katelyn was selected as a member of PLAC’s Future Leaders Program earlier this year.

During last month’s mock trial exercise in Denver, Future Leaders—including Katelyn—conducted direct and cross examinations of expert witnesses on various alleged defects of a prescription medical device, under the guidance of experienced coaches and Colorado District Court Judge Eric Elliff. During the upcoming Future Leaders panel, participants will share insights from the exercise and discuss strategies for effective expert examination, with commentary from Sustaining Member Coaches and resource partners.
