Butler Snow Attorney Jin Yoshikawa to Speak at DRI Artificial Intelligence Seminar

Butler Snow attorney Jin Yoshikawa will speak at the DRI’s Artificial Intelligence in Defense Practice seminar, taking place March 9-10, 2026, at DRI Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Butler Snow is also a sponsor of the seminar.

The national CLE program focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence in defense practice, addressing AI tools, workflows, governance, and ethical considerations. Yoshikawa serves as both a speaker and organizer for the seminar in his role as Vice Chair of the DRI Center for Law and Public Policy’s AI Task Force, which helped develop the program.

His session, “Defending the Algorithm™ – The AI Daily Routine: How to Best Use the AI Tools in Your Tech Stack to Build Workflows,” will demonstrate daily litigation workflow using leading AI platforms, including Thomson Reuter’s Westlaw Precision and CoCounsel, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic’s Claude, and Microsoft’s Co-Pilot.

Jin Yoshikawa

Jin Yoshikawa is a member of Butler Snow’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare Litigation group and focuses his practice on nationwide multidistrict product liability litigation, healthcare liability matters, and complex technology‑driven disputes. He brings a background in computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to his work advising clients on emerging technology and litigation risk.

In 2026, Yoshikawa was recognized as a BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® “One to Watch” in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation – Intellectual Property. He was also selected for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinders Program and the U.S.-Japan Council’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Active in professional and community organizations, Yoshikawa serves as Vice Chair of the DRI Center for Law and Public Policy’s AI Task Force and is a co‑chair of the Nashville Bar Association’s Diversity Committee. He is also involved with the American, Nashville, and Tennessee Bar Associations, as well as the Japan‑America Society of Tennessee, the U.S.–Japan Council, and national Asian Pacific American bar organizations.
