Butler Snow Adds Two Attorneys to Nashville, Tennessee Office

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorneys Mark D. Lennon and Meredith I. Wallen to the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee, office. Lennon is joining as a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services practice group and Wallen will serve as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group.

Mark D. Lennon

Lennon is a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services group and brings with him a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation experience. He regularly counsels clients on complex benefits matters affecting business transactions, plan design, and benefits compliance.

Prior to joining Butler Snow, Lennon served as an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation specialist within the tax practice of a global law firm in Nashville. He has extensive experience advising on private equity and healthcare transactions, the Affordable Care Act, Section 409A, Section 280G, drafting and negotiating employment agreements and award packages, and a multitude of other ERISA topics. Before relocating his practice to Nashville, Lennon also held positions at a global law firm and a national tax practice in Chicago, Illinois.

Lennon earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Marquette University and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Meredith I. Wallen

Wallen joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group, where she will continue her work across various practice areas of law, including commercial litigation, employment law, premises liability and financial services matters.

Wallen brings experience from working within the Manhattan and Nashville markets, where she began her professional career. Wallen’s experience includes commercial litigation and financial services, as well as other high-exposure premises claims. She also completed internships with the New Jersey Transit and the New York State Office of the Attorney General. Wallen earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from East Tennessee State University, her master’s degree from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. She is admitted to the state bars of New Jersey, New York and Tennessee.
