Butler Snow Adds Jordyne Johnson Richartz to Commercial Litigation Group in Nashville, Tennessee Office

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that Jordyne Johnson Richartz has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation team and will be based in the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee, office.

Maddux, chair of Butler Snow. “Her strong litigation background and deep experience in construction disputes will significantly enhance our firm’s ability to serve clients facing complex commercial and construction litigation matters.”

Richartz brings extensive experience counseling clients through high-stakes and complex commercial disputes, with a focus on construction litigation and arbitration. She represents owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in disputes involving breach of contract, nonpayment, delayed completion, defective work, design defect, lien and bond claims, wrongful termination, licensing issues, and other construction-related disputes. She regularly appears on behalf of clients in court and in arbitration before the American Arbitration Association, and she advises clients on litigation strategy from initial claim preparation through trial. In addition to her litigation practice, Richartz drafts and negotiates construction contracts and provides pre-litigation counseling to help clients minimize risk throughout the life of a project.

She has earned recognition for her work, including being named to The Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch for Construction Law (2026) and selected as a Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers® Mid-South Rising Star for 2024–2025. She also completed the Associated General Contractors Construction Leadership Program in 2025.

Richartz is admitted to practice in Tennessee and is active in professional associations, including the Associated General Contractors Middle Tennessee Chapter, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, the American Bar Association Construction Law Forum, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Nashville Bar Association. Richartz earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
