Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Karmen E. Gaines to the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama, office. Gaines joins as a member of Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation practice group.

Gaines is a member of Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation group and focuses her practice on commercial litigation, transportation litigation, premises liability and general litigation matters.
Gaines is a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Law, Litigation and Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Sections. She is also a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Birmingham Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). As an active member of the Birmingham community, Gaines volunteers as a member of Birmingham’s Junior Board for Girls on the Run, as well as the Altamont Young Alumni Committee.
Gaines earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from the University of Alabama.
