2026 Florida Super Lawyers® Recognizes Two Butler Snow Attorneys

June 26, 2026 | by Butler Snow

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers® has recognized attorneys Tara J. Kholos and Drew E. Moore as Florida Rising Stars in its 2026 edition. Kholos has been highlighted for her work in Insurance Coverage, while Moore earned his first recognition in Government Finance.

Super Lawyers®, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous process, including a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. Each year, no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers® identifies Rising Stars as attorneys, 40 years old or younger, who demonstrate exceptional professional achievement in a particular practice area for 10 years or less.

Tara J. Kholos | Insurance Coverage

Kholos is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group and focuses her practice on commercial litigation, property damage and insurance fraud, including flood insurance disputes and bad faith claims. She earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.

Drew E. Moore | Government Finance

Moore is a member of the firm’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives and Credit Markets group and an experienced business law and public finance attorney. His practice focuses on public finance, health care finance and structured lending matters, including tax-exempt and taxable financings, and related securities and tax matters.

Moore has served in the roles of bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, purchaser’s counsel and borrower’s counsel, among others, and represented a variety of sophisticated clients, including underwriters, financial institutions, health care systems, senior living communities, charter schools, units of local government, airports, seaports, colleges, universities and other 501(c)(3) organizations on complex project finance transactions and corporate governance matters.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida and is admitted to practice in Florida and Texas. Prior to law school, Moore served as a deputy sheriff in Florida for nearly ten years, including five years as a special victims detective.
