Josh is a member of and practices within the Commercial Litigation Group.  He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas.  Josh concentrates his practice in the areas of general and commercial civil litigation.  Further, Josh also advises clients in the oil and gas industry in all phases of exploration and production, including land and title issues, and operational and regulatory issues.

Experience

  • Obtained successful result in representation of a national media entity in a defamation action. 
  • Represented a multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company in a series of contractual indemnity lawsuits. 
  • Issued numerous oil and gas title opinions, including original/drilling title opinions, supplemental title opinions, division order title opinions, leasehold title opinions, surface title opinions, and acquisition title opinions.
  • Negotiates and draft contracts for upstream and downstream energy companies, including joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, supply agreements, surface use agreements, rights of way, leasehold assignments, and various other contracts.
  • Advised client regarding acquisition of rights of way for a FERC regulated natural gas pipeline and provided representation in actions to condemn expropriation rights of way.
  • Advised client regarding acquisition of rights of way for a petroleum products pipeline and provided representation in actions to condemn expropriation rights of way.
