Kevin C. Baltz Named 2021 Attorney for Justice for Pro Bono Work

Butler Snow attorney Kevin C. Baltz has been named a 2021 Attorney for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Access to Justice Commission. Attorneys receiving this distinction have completed at least 50 hours of pro bono service in 2021. The full roster of 2021 Attorneys for Justice can be viewed here.

Baltz, the assistant practice group leader for Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, is an experienced business counselor and trial attorney. Baltz has significant trial experience in both state and federal courts and he handles all manners of business disputes and consumer claims. In 2021, on behalf of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands, Baltz tried a civil dispute involving domestic abuse to a 12-person jury. He is also currently representing a veteran, pro bono, addressing issues with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Throughout his entire legal career, Baltz has made pro bono work a priority, noting that “as lawyers, we are called to be the voice for those that may not otherwise be heard.”

Baltz earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee School of Law. He is an AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated attorney, a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation and the current President of the Christ the King School Council.
