E. Barney Robinson III Awarded Legion of Merit Medal

The Adjutant General of Mississippi, on behalf of the Secretary of the Army, awarded Brigadier General (MS ret.) E. Barney Robinson, III the Legion of Merit medal on Saturday, April 10, 2021.  The Legion of Merit is one of only two United States military decorations to be issued as a neck order and is seventh in the order of precedence of all U.S. military awards.

BG (MS ret.) Robinson served in the Mississippi Army National Guard from 1988 to 2019, serving tours in connection with multiple natural disasters and a combat deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He concluded his military career as the State Judge Advocate for the Mississippi National Guard.
