Michael J. Busada Appointed Vice Chair of National Association of Bond Lawyers Governmental Affairs Committee

Butler Snow attorney Michael J. Busada has been appointed Vice Chair of the National Association of Bond Lawyers’ (NABL) Governmental Affairs Committee by the organization’s president. The NABL works to promote the integrity of the municipal market through the education of its members in the laws affecting state and municipal bonds. The organization’s Governmental Affairs Committee encourages, facilitates and involves NABL members in educating federal policy makers and staff about the importance of tax-advantaged bonds to state and local governments. Busada practices within the public finance, tax incentives and credit markets group and focuses his practice on public finance, economic development and administrative law.

Busada is a member of the Economic and Community Development Task Force of the Resilient Louisiana Commission, the Committee of 100 of Louisiana, and the American Bar Association.  Busada also serves on the boards of directors of several local organizations including the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council and the Red River Valley Association. He received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
