Four Butler Snow Attorneys Named to 2020 Lawdragon 500 Leading U.S. Bankruptcy and Restructuring Lawyers

Martin S. Sosland

Sosland is a member of Butler Snow’s finance, real estate and restructuring practice group and focuses his practice on public finance and bankruptcy and restructuring. He also has vast experience in business reorganizations, debtor and creditors’ rights and refinancing and acquisitions of troubled companies.

Sosland has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law since 2006, by Chambers USA for Bankruptcy/Restructuring, by Chambers Global as a Leading Bankruptcy/Restructuring Lawyer and by Who’s Who Legal for Restructuring and Insolvency.

David S. Rubin

Rubin is a member of Butler Snow’s business department and practices within the finance, real estate and restructuring group.

Rubin has been recognized by Chambers USA for Bankruptcy/Restructuring and by Martindale-Hubbell® with an AV-Preeminent Peer Review rating. He is board certified in business bankruptcy law by the American Bankruptcy Board and the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization.

Rubin is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of the Federal, American and Louisiana Bar Associations, the Louisiana State Bankers Association Bank Counsel Group and the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization’s Bankruptcy Law Advisory Commission. He received his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University.

James E. Bailey, III

Bailey is a member and former practice group leader of Butler Snow’s finance, real estate and restructuring group. He focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts, commercial litigation and commercial lending. He is a former Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable David S. Kennedy, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Tennessee, and regularly represents secured lenders, unsecured trade creditors and committees in bankruptcy cases as well as individual and corporate chapter 11 debtors and chapter 7 trustees. He has also served as a chapter 11 trustee.

Rosenblatt is of counsel to the firm and a member of Butler Snow’s finance, real estate and restructuring group. He focuses his practice on bankruptcy and restructuring and commercial litigation.
