Butler Snow Attorney Daniel W. Van Horn to Serve as Chair of American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation

Section announces officers for the 2022 – 2023 year

Butler Snow attorney Daniel W. Van Horn will serve as Chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of Litigation for the 2022-2023 year, the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Section of Litigation.

The ABA’s Section of Litigation serves as the premier association for lawyers involved in litigation and trial practice. Its mission is to provide litigators of all practice areas the resources needed to become successful and experienced advocates. The section is dedicated to upholding the rule of law and to offering its members opportunities for business networking and career advancement and a portfolio of professional and business development products. With almost 40,000 litigators, judges and arbitrators, it is one of the largest sections of the ABA.

Van Horn is an experienced, solutions-oriented trial attorney in complex commercial matters, including matters in highly regulated industries. He has fought for clients obtaining successful verdicts in a variety of disputes including unfair competition, construction, intellectual property and real estate related cases.

Van Horn is a fellow of the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Foundations, and a member of the American, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Memphis Bar Associations. He received his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
