Carl Black, a former long-time partner at Butler Snow, passed away on Wednesday, June 17 in Madison, Miss.
Mr. Black, born in Clarksdale, Miss., had a long and varied career. He was a proud graduate of Mississippi College, the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, the Jackson School of Law and New York University, as well as a proud U.S. Army veteran.
At Butler Snow, Mr. Black led the Tax practice for many years. During his tenure, he also chaired the Mississippi Economic Council Taxation Committee and the Tax Section of the Mississippi Bar. He was also awarded an Honorary Master of Laws degree from Mississippi College.
