Caitlyn Burchfield to Serve as Executive Vice President of Rotaract Club of Birmingham

Butler Snow attorney Caitlyn Smith Burchfield has been selected as the Executive Vice President of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham. Caitlyn previously served on the 11-person Board of Directors as Vice President of Membership Development from 2019 to 2020 and was the chair of the Club’s Leadership Development Program from 2018 to 2019.

Rotary International officially chartered the Rotaract Club of Birmingham on March 9, 2004. Since then, the Club has grown to the largest community-based Rotaract Club in the world with over 300 members. The Club serves the Birmingham community through its three Signature Service Programs: (i) Ready to Read, where Club members read to elementary school classrooms, (ii) Ready to Succeed, a mentoring program that pairs Club members with sophomore, junior, or senior Birmingham-area students, and (iii) Achieve Alabama, a scholarship database for the state of Alabama. Caitlyn is an experienced public finance and real estate development attorney. She provides counsel on various aspects of commercial real estate development and financing, including public finance, acquisitions and sales, and economic development relating to multi-family housing, senior living facilities, universities, and recreational and hotel developments.

She is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Birmingham Bar Association. Burchfield is admitted to practice in the state courts of Alabama and Mississippi; U.S. District Courts of Alabama: Northern, Middle, and Southern; U.S. Districts Courts of Mississippi: Northern and Southern; and the U.S. Court of Appeals: Fifth Circuit. Caitlyn received both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama.
