Three Butler Snow Attorneys to Present at HR Comply 19

Attorneys Kara E. SheaDavid L. Johnson and Sara Anne T. Quinn, all members of Butler Snow’s labor and employment practice group, are set to present at HR Comply 19 November 13-15 in Nashville. The 24th annual conference is the nation’s leading human capital management and employment law event for HR professionals, executives and in-house counsel. Shea will present during the preconference event on wage and hour audits, providing attendees information about how the Department of Labor’s overtime rule will impact their organization’s compensation, as well as compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Johnson will also give a preconference presentation about workplace investigations, detailing how to conduct efficient, effective and legally compliant workplace investigations.

During the main conference event, Shea and Quinn will present on preemployment screenings, giving critical updates designed to help organizations evaluate their preemployment screening practices for legal liability and costly penalties.

Shea concentrates her practice on employment counseling and employment litigation. She has extensive trial and appellate experience and regularly counsels clients in the financial services, health care and home health industries on employment law compliance.

Johnson serves as practice group leader of the firm’s labor and employment group. He is a member of the appellate and written advocacy group and the intellectual property group, and focuses his practice on business and employment litigation, non-compete and trade secret litigation, as well as employment compliance, counseling and training.

Quinn focuses her practices on employment litigation and counseling and is licensed to practice in Tennessee and U.S. Districts Courts of Tennessee: Western, Middle and Eastern.
