Travis B. Swearingen will speak at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s 2019 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held July 7-12 at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.
Travis will participate in a panel discussion titled “The Millennial Juror” on July 10. The panelists will address the transition of juries over the years and discuss how to appeal to juries with wide age gaps.
Travis is a trial lawyer with first chair experience representing clients in health care, product liability and construction litigation. Most recently, he has assisted in the defense of significant mass tort litigation for several Fortune 250 companies, tried multi-million dollar disputes for three of the largest hospital systems in Tennessee and successfully defended multiple health care liability cases to verdict.
Travis is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute and the International Association of Defense Counsel. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
