Christopher S. Berdy to Speak at International Association of Defense Counsel’s 2019 Annual Meeting

Butler Snow is pleased to announce Christopher S. Berdy will speak at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s 2019 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held July 7-12 at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.

Chris will participate in a panel discussion titled “IADC Talks: Humanity United” on July 8. The panelists will each share personal stories of struggle, sadness, joy and success to remind attendees that our journeys and shared life experiences are what bind us together. Chris will discuss the impact of his father’s experience in surviving the Holocaust in occupied France and immigrating to the U.S. after World War II.

Chris is a member of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare and Products Liability Practice Groups.  He represents consumer and industrial product manufacturers—with an emphasis on medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, in catastrophic personal injury and mass tort litigation, as well as businesses in commercial disputes.  Chris has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for personal injury litigation – defendants, by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer for personal injury defense – products and by Martindale Hubbell® with an AV-Preeminent Peer Review Rating. He was also named to “Birmingham’s Top Attorneys” by B-Metro Birmingham Business Magazine.

An active IADC member, Chris is the Alabama State Membership Chair, and he was a faculty member of the 46th Annual Trial Academy.  He has previously chaired the CLE, In-house and Law Firm Management, ADR, and Annual Meeting (2014) CLE Steering Committees.  Chris received his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law.
