Tray Hairston to Speak in Jackson, Tenn. at Chamber Event Called Spark

Butler Snow is pleased to announce Tray Hairston will speak at Spark on March 20th in Jackson, Tenn. Spark is an event sponsored by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and theCO, a nonprofit focused on bringing together a community of creatives and entrepreneurs focused on creating jobs and scaling business. Spark is a monthly networking event designed to help participants grow their business. Tray will lead a presentation titled “Quality of Life as an Economic Driver.”

Tray is a member of the firm’s public finance, tax incentives and credit markets group and focuses his practice on bond transactions, economic development projects and government relations. He has served as bond counsel, developer’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel to numerous cities, counties, universities, banks and underwriters throughout Mississippi and Louisiana, and bond counsel to the State of Mississippi. Prior to joining the firm, he served as counsel and economic development policy advisor to Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant.

Tray has been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer for his work in government finance. He has also been named a Rising Star by The Bond Buyer, a fellow of the Delta Regional Authority’s Delta Leadership Institute and a Top 40 Under 40 by the Mississippi Business Journal.

Tray is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the American Bar Association, The Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Economic Development Council, and currently serves on the board of directors for Mississippi Today, the Tougaloo College Research and Development Foundation and Mississippi Main Street Association. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Mississippi College School of Law. Tray received his undergraduate degree from Tougaloo College, his MBA from Belhaven College and his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.
