Randall D. McClanahan to Speak at American Bar Association’s Business Law Section’s Spring Meeting

Butler Snow is pleased to announce Randall D. McClanahan will speak at the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section’s 2019 Spring Meeting.

The meeting takes place March 28-30 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Randy will participate in a panel discussion on March 28 titled “Start Smart 2.0: Advising Start-ups on Formation and Early-Stage Organizational Issues.” The panelists will discuss a number of issues that corporate lawyers face when representing start-up entities such as choice of entity, owner agreements and other fundamental documents, securities laws, private and venture capital financing, equity incentives and tax issues related to these matters.

Randy is a member of the firm’s business services group, and focuses his practice on corporate law, federal tax law, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital and private equity transactions. He is also a licensed CPA in Alabama and Georgia.

Randy is a member of the American, Alabama and Birmingham Bar Associations, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for tax law and is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell®. Randy received his bachelor’s in accounting from Auburn University, his master’s of tax accounting from the University of Alabama, his MBA from Duke University and his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
