Butler Snow is pleased to announce Christopher S. Berdy will speak at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s 2019 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held July 7-12 at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.
Chris will speak at a session titled “Back to Basics: Direct and Cross-Examination of Expert Witnesses at Trial” on February 26 that will focus on the fundamentals of direct examination and cross-examination, including those of “silent advocacy,” that are often overlooked at trial.
Chris is a member of Butler Snow’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Healthcare Practice Group. He represents consumer and industrial product manufacturers—with an emphasis on medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, in catastrophic personal injury and mass tort litigation, as well as businesses in commercial disputes. Chris has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for personal injury litigation – defendants, by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer for personal injury defense – products, and by Martindale Hubbell® with an AV-Preeminent Peer Review Rating.
Chris is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), having served as a faculty member of the 46th Annual Trial Academy and currently serving as the Alabama State Membership Chair. Chris is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Food and Drug Law Institute, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. He received his bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law.
