The Litigation Daily from The American Lawyer has named Butler Snow attorney Orlando R. Richmond, Sr. as its “Co-litigator of the Week”. Richmond was selected for his recent role and subsequent defense verdict in a product liability matter involving the prescription drug Pradaxa. This was the second bellwether trial in the Pradaxa product liability litigation in Connecticut. Phyllis Jones of Covington & Burling tried the case alongside Richmond and was selected for this honor as well.
During the six week trial, which took place in Connecticut, Richmond cross-examined the plaintiff’s regulatory/pharmacology expert, presented the defense’s cardiologist and delivered opening statements and closing arguments.
