We are excited to announce that Sean M. McGuinness will moderate a panel at the CLE event titled “Is Sports Betting Coming to Iowa?” The event will be held March 5 at the Prairie Meadows Events and Conference Center in Altoona, Iowa.
The event – co-sponsored by Drake University Law School and Prairie Meadows Casino and Hotel – focuses on the possible legalization of sports betting in Iowa and whether the state is ready for it. Panelists will also discuss potential regulated sports betting systems for Iowa.
Andrew Brandt, one of the top sports media insiders in the nation, is the keynote speaker. Two panels will feature leading attorneys, regulators and gaming industry executives who will discuss various facets of sports betting on the national and state levels.
Sean and Keith Miller, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt Distinguished Professor of Law at Drake Law School, will each moderate different panels.
The event has been approved for 3.5 CLE hours. Although this is a CLE event, anyone is welcome to register to attend. Register here.
